JHT โ€” old-age savings

JHT is a savings account: the 5.7% total contribution builds up with investment returns declared each year. You can claim the full balance when you:

After at least 10 years of membership you can also make a one-off partial claim of up to 10% for retirement preparation or up to 30% for housing while still employed. Claims are made through the JMO (Jamsostek Mobile) app or a branch office.

JP โ€” pension

JP pays a monthly pension if you have contributed for at least 15 years (180 months) by pension age. With fewer months you receive your contributions plus returns as a lump sum. Pension age was 56 when JP started in 2015, rises by one year every three years, and is 59 for 2025โ€“2027, reaching 65 in 2043.

JKP โ€” job-loss benefit

JKP covers employees who lose their job through no fault of their own, with at least 12 months of membership in the last 24 months and 6 months of contributions paid consecutively before termination. Under PP 6/2025 the cash benefit is 60% of wage for six months, using a wage cap of Rp5,000,000. Resignation, retirement, permanent disability and the end of a fixed-term contract do not qualify.

BPJS Kesehatan

Employees are enrolled with their spouse and up to three children in one membership for the 5% contribution. Other family members โ€” parents, in-laws, a fourth child โ€” can be added for an extra 1% of wage each. Treatment starts at the registered first-level health facility (Puskesmas, clinic or GP), with referral to hospitals. Hospitals are moving to a single inpatient standard (KRIS) in place of the old class 1โ€“3 wards.
