STEP 01

Check if you need to file

You must file if you receive a notification from IRAS, or if your annual income exceeded $22,000 in the preceding year. Many employees under the Auto-Inclusion Scheme (AIS) don't need to file β€” employers submit income data directly to IRAS.

STEP 02

Log in to myTax Portal

Use your Singpass to log in to the myTax Portal. Most employment income under AIS will already be pre-filled.

STEP 03

Declare other income and claim reliefs

Add any income not auto-included (rental, freelance, trade income) and claim applicable reliefs β€” see our Tax Reliefs Guide.

STEP 04

Review and submit

Check your Notice of Assessment (NOA) preview before submitting. Filing typically takes under 15 minutes for straightforward cases.

STEP 05

Pay your tax

Once your NOA is issued, pay via GIRO (interest-free installments), PayNow, or other methods within the stated deadline.

Check your key filing dates.
